Sidemen Present: SideMenu Brings a Fresh Streaming Twist With Prime Video and YouTube Partnership

Creator-led entertainment is reaching new heights once again as the Sidemen return with another groundbreaking project. YouTube group THE SIDEMEN are developing a new cooking competition series titled Sidemen Present: SideMenu, which will release simultaneously on Prime Video AND YouTube.

Scheduled to premiere on June 18th, the four-episode series will drop its first episode on YouTube, then drop episode 2 exclusivley on Prime Video the following day. In addition, Prime Video will also make Episode 1 available for viewers who subscribe to the service. After June 19th, new episodes will launch exclusively on Prime Video on a weekly basis before being uploaded to YouTube two weeks later.

In true Sidemen fashion, the group has taken yet another unique approach to releasing digital content. Instead of separating themselves onto streaming and YouTube platforms, the group has decided to use both services to create the biggest audience possible.

Featuring Sidemen Behzinga, Miniminter, TBJZL, Vikkstar, and Zerkaa, as well as featured friend Jakey Davies, the cooking competition series will pit each contestant against each other in teams to create courses based on a random country’s cuisine. Each episode will include a starter, main course, and dessert.

During the episode’s cooking showdowns, contenders will have to face mysterious advantages and obstacles in the form of mystery boxes. Each dish will also be judged by food professionals and fellow creators like Harrison Webb and the entire Sorted Food team.

What’s more interesting about SideMenu, is that it’s another testament to how powerful creator-led production companies are becoming. The Sidemen are venturing further than ever into traditional entertainment with large-budget series and specials now that can be found on streaming giants like Netflix and Amazon.

Recent releases Inside moved to Netflix after launching on YouTube, while their late-night comedy series The Sidemen Show was one of Netflix UK’s most successful properties in 2024. With Sidemen Productions at the helm of all these projects, the group is continuing to break barriers in the entertainment industry.

“Bringing SideMenu to audiences worldwide is another step in the direction of creator-first productions that we hope will entertain as many people as possible,” Victor Bengtsson, CEO of Sidemen Entertainment said in a statement. “We’ve also been working hard to build out our teams. Last month we welcomed Television giants to join our originals team.”

The Sidemen have well over 160 million subscribers between their channels and show no signs of slowing down. As they continue to reach audiences around the world, their influence on the industry will only grow.
