Jennifer Lawrence denied rumors that she cheated on her boyfriend with her Passengers costar Chris Pratt. Fans speculated that Lawrence broke up Pratt and his wife Anna Faris after the two stars revealed their divorce in August 2017.
During a press interview while promoting her movie Red Sparrow, Lawrence told KISS FM that she had heard rumors she had an affair with Pratt on set.
“This one was wild, I never had an affair with Chris Pratt on Passengers,” she said. “That’’t hear soon enough. Like two years later they got a divorce and everybody was like Jennifer Lawrence! And I was like, what the…what I’.”

She went on Marc Maron’ and noted that they filed for divorce two years after filming Passengers.
Pratt and Lawrence shot Passengers between September 2015 and February 2016. Pratt and Faris announced their divorce in August 2017, with the former couple filing for divorce four months later. They blamed “irreconcilable differences” for the split.
Anna Faris herself debunked the cheating rumors in her memoir Unqualified, writing that she knew Lawrence would not be the cause of her divorce. She added that Lawrence reached out to apologize even though she hadn’t done anything wrong.
”Jennifer and I really are friendly, and she was apologetic even though she didn’t need to be, because she hadn’t done anything wrong,” she wrote.
Faris called the rumors “weirdly stinging” in a previous interview with Us Weekly. She said that Pratt and she were blindsided by the cheating rumors since they were going so strong at the time.”
“We had such an incredible relationship,” she continued.
Lawrence previously said filming romantic scenes with Pratt while he was still married left her feeling uncomfortable. She said she hates feeling guilty.
“It’,” Lawrence said in 2017. “Guilt’s the worst feeling in your stomach.”
